I hung out with David Poplis, who was a funny guy. We played golf together at some golf course in Maryland, where he lived. One time we were going to see the Baltimore Orioles play, and not far from his home Dave rear-ended a car with his gray, 1952 Ford. We never made it to the ball game.
He fell off a fire truck and was injured, but not badly. In the hospital he died suddenly from a blood clot. I was shocked. He died on my 21st birthday. I miss you Dave and still pray for you.
